Yes, most of our lawn and landscape edging products can be formed to create curves. For special shapes or complex designs, we recommend using our pre-forming service that's available on some of our aluminium and steel edging products. Some of the very heavy-duty edging may also need some additional equipment to help you achieve your desired look.

In most instances this is not required, it's one of the key advantages of this product. Due to its unique angled design this product has been successfully installed in numerous projects without any concrete support. See our AluExcel video for more information. In unusual circumstances concrete foundations could be required – please contact our technical team for more information.
The design of the product is different. Our edging systems are supplied with separate stake fixings which we feel is easier to install. Our connection joint also creates a seamless join with no seen overlap.
This does vary depending on which height of edging you are using. Typically all edging heights in the AluExcel range should be able to achieve a 1500mm radius, and some of the smaller heights can successfully achieve a tighter radius. Please note that this does not apply to symmetrical shapes or circles as these are more difficult to achieve successfully by hand. We are able to offer a full pre-forming service on symmetrical or intricate designs – please contact our technical team.
Put simply, it's a hard-wearing, untreated steel designed to rust on the surface over a period of time – giving it a patina that's completely natural. This is an excellent choice for heritage areas and can be considered as an alternative to CorTen®.
Aluminium is generally more durable and an excellent choice for seaside locations or as an alternative to stainless steel. Steel is a stronger metal so would be a more obvious choice for heavier duty applications or where the edging is being used as an upstand between surfaces.
