Kinley is delighted to be a networking partner at the 2016 Future Landscape and Public Realm event taking place in Doha, Qatar on 24th - 25th October. The conference is a great platform for both professionals and government representatives to join together and discuss the best ways to develop and improve the public realm.

Now in its third year successive year, the event has become the leading landscape and urban planning conference in Qatar with guests travelling from all over the world to attend and network with other industry figures. The event will offer an in depth look at some of the projects that are shaping Qatar’s future landscape including the Doha Metro, Lusail City and the Msheireb Downtown Regeneration project.

With Qatar set to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup, the Future Landscape and Public Realm conference will also give professionals the chance to hear more about the current plans to successfully deliver one of the world’s most anticipated sporting events. They will also be given the opportunity to explore the country’s strategy for the creation of additional green open spaces, to support the tournament.

During the two-day conference, Kinley will be showcasing its leading edging material, AluExcel. Favoured by landscape architects for its durable yet flexible properties, the edging has been used in numerous high profile projects worldwide, including impressive outdoor leisure destination City Walk in Dubai. With improving walkability of the public realm a key topic for discussion at the conference, AluExcel is a great example of a versatile landscaping material that is specifically designed to act as a strong support for pathways with increased foot traffic.

Stuart Bowie, Director at Kinley, comments: “Qatar is currently at the centre of several high profile and innovative projects designed to improve its public realm, so it couldn’t be a better time for this year’s Future Landscape conference to take place. I am pleased that Kinley has been given the opportunity to take part in the event and demonstrate what our AluExcel edging can offer to the development of the public realm landscape.”
